Overview
The SSOW method 2016 will sunset on 1 April 2026. Once the method sunsets, no new projects will be able to be registered unless the method is re-made.
At the request of the Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the ERAC undertook a review of the merits of remaking the SSOW method. As part of this review the ERAC sought the views of stakeholders on the possible remaking of the method.
ERAC advice to the Assistant Minister and further updates on the method can be found on the Source Separated Organic Waste method page on the department's website.
