Overview

The Emissions Reduction Assurance Committee (ERAC) is seeking feedback from stakeholders including project proponents, industry bodies, non-government organisations, government agencies, community groups and individuals and the scientific/academic community, on the ACCU Scheme Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative – Animal Effluent Management) Methodology Determination 2019 (the AEM method).

Specifically, the Committee is looking at the AEM Methods’ compliance with the Offset Integrity Standards as set out in the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011 (the Act) and to identify amendments that would improve usability and uptake.

The findings of the consultation will inform the ERAC’s advice to the Minister for Climate Change and Energy on whether further action is required.
