Overview
The Australian Government has appointed an Independent Review Panel (Review Panel) to review the Snowy Water Inquiry Outcomes Implementation Deed (the Deed). The review will look for ways to enhance the health of the upper Murrumbidgee River, above Burrinjuck Dam.
As part of the review process, the Review Panel developed an Issues Consultation Report which outlines the issues being considered in the review.
The Review Panel invited public feedback on ways to improve the Deed. The public consultation process ran from 12 December 2025 until 13 February 2026. This feedback will support the Review Panel in developing its final report, which will provide recommendations to the Australian Government.
What We Heard
The Panel received 136 submissions from industry groups, First Nations people , academia, catchment management groups, the community, land holders, individuals and agencies.
