About the consultation

You are invited to provide your views and supporting reasons about:

  • the eligibility of Ostrea angasi oyster reefs of southern Australia on the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) list of threatened ecological communities, and

  • the necessary conservation actions for this ecological community.

Responses are welcomed from any interested person.

The Threatened Species Scientific Committee assesses ecological communities to determine their eligibility for inclusion in the list of threatened ecological communities under the EPBC Act and provides recommendations to the Australian Government Minister for the Environment and Water.
