We’re seeking your feedback on the 2025-26 review of charging arrangements for the Offshore Electricity Infrastructure (OEI) framework.

The aim of the review is to ensure the charging arrangements remain fit for purpose for industry activity levels and regulatory and implementation effort by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (the department).

The department’s draft 2025-26 Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS) for the OEI framework outlines the revised charging arrangements.

Review of the charging arrangements considers:

  • Assumption on licence numbers

  • Licence costs through Commonwealth levies

  • Temporary financial relief for OEI licence holders

  • Overall expenditure to administer the OEI Act framework effectively and efficiently
