I strongly support the proposed improved facilities at MHO for the benefit of all oval and park users;

The existing facilities are wholly inadequate and unsafe. The proposed building and facilities significantly enhance the amenity of MHO and surrounding parks and maximise public access and use of this Harbour Trust land;

The current facilities are unsafe, inaccessible to members of the community with disability and not inclusive.

The proposed facilities provide a modern, safe and inclusive community sporting facility which will enhance the MHO experience and encourage use of MHO and surrounding parks;

MHO is currently inaccessible for wheelchair users. The proposed new facility provides improved access with features such as ramps, wider doorways etc. This provides facilities that aligns with the Harbour Trusts values of diversity and inclusion;

The proposed open-sided shelter over existing outdoor seating provides enhanced safety against UV risks as well as a more pleasant viewing experience for inclement weather. Currently, I tend not to bring my young children and elderly parents to MHO to watch sporting events due to a lack of coverage from the environments;

The current MHO facilities are totally inadequate for female sporting participation. The proposed facilities are designed with the needs of female sports players in mind, providing inclusivity for our sporting community. This will promote and help grow football and AFL female participation with corresponding health and wellbeing benefits for a significant portion of the community;

Dedicated female changerooms will provide privacy, comfort, and hygiene facilities for the benefit of all female players;

The proposed new building and landscaping is sensitive to cultural heritage. The proposed ovoid shaped park will provide an inclusive community space with multiple uses, including to help enjoy surrounding bushland;

The proposed building will serve as a hub for Mosman’s sporting and wider community as well as the numerous visitors to the areas. It will be a place where players, families and supporters can gather, socialise and build a sense of community.
