About the consultation
The Threatened Species Scientific Committee invites you to make comments on four listing assessments prepared by Western Australia through the Common Assessment Method.
This will assist with its assessment of whether the species are eligible for inclusion on the EPBC Act lists of threatened species, and, if eligible, the category in which it is eligible to be included.
You are invited to provide your views and supporting reasons about the eligibility of the following species for inclusion on the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) list of threatened species and the necessary conservation actions for these species:
Chelodina kuchlingi (Kuchling's long-neck turtle)
Conospermum quadripetalum (a plant)
Drosera oreopodion (a plant)
Thelymitra variegata (Queen of Sheba Orchid)
Responses are welcomed from any interested person.
The Threatened Species Scientific Committee assesses species to determine their eligibility for inclusion in the list of threatened species under the EPBC Act and provides recommendations to the Australian Government Minister for the Environment.
