all excellent - only comment is - why is the habitat protection zone not included in the Marine National Park Zone? and it would be great to have an even more extensive sanctuary zone. if there is only 1 commercial fisher - is there room to negotiate so that one of these is possible?

Please provide comments relating to natural values and/or pressures within the proposed Macquarie Island Marine Park

- I would like to see the whole marine park become a 'no take' area
- tourism should be allowed with strict regulations. This would help raise the awareness and hopefully the appreciation of this island of outstanding universal values.
I am comfortable with the research programs and trust their protocols for low impact on the island

I can see no arguments against the proposed changes to The Macquarie Island Marine Park
I feel this is a great opportunity for Australia to take , it could even be said, an obligation to protect one the few areas left globally with low levels of extractive use.
