Overview
The Harbour Trust invites members of the public and First Nations peoples with rights and interests in the place to comment on the Draft Woolwich Dock and Parklands Management Plan 2026 (the draft plan).
Woolwich Dock and Parklands (Woolwich, NSW), is listed as a Commonwealth Heritage Place under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
The draft plan has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of section 341S of the EPBC Act and the Harbour Trust’s Comprehensive Plan.
All issues raised in submissions will be carefully considered by the Harbour Trust before the draft plan is finalised. If approved, the final draft plan will replace the current management plan for the place.
The draft plan generally keeps to the intent of the current management plan, continuing to provide for:
the conservation and interpretation of the place’s heritage and environmental values
public access
a unified network of foreshore open space in collaboration with Hunters Hill Council
a range of compatible uses underpinned by maritime activity
some new buildings in the dock area.
Other key elements of the draft plan include:
updated information about current site conditions, relevant plans and legislation
more fully addressing the First Nations values of the place
providing for occasional events, parking in LARC Park, and tree protection
The draft plan will be on public exhibition, and comments must be received by 11:59pm AEST, Monday 10 August 2026.
