Overview

We are seeking your feedback on the draft threat abatement plan for infection of amphibians with chytrid fungus resulting in chytridiomycosis 2026.

The plan will address the impacts that chytrid fungus has on Australia’s native frogs.

Threat abatement plans establish a national framework to guide and coordinate Australia’s response to key threats that negatively affect our native species and ecological communities. These plans identify research, management and other actions that all levels of government and other stakeholders can take to ensure the long-term survival of native species and ecological communities.

Reducing the impact of these threats will support the recovery of threatened species and ecological communities.

Your feedback will help inform the final version of this threat abatement plan.
