About the consultation
You are invited to provide your feedback on draft listing assessment and conservation advice regarding:
• eligibility of Black ironbox (Eucalyptus raveretiana) and Southern palm cockatoo (Probosciger aterrimus macgillivrayi) for inclusion on the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) list of threatened species
• protection and recovery action for these species.
We welcome responses from all interested persons.
The draft listing assessments for these 2 species were prepared by the Queensland Government under the Common Assessment Method agreement between Australia’s state, territory and Commonwealth governments.
The Threatened Species Scientific Committee has reviewed these draft assessments to determine the eligibility of the species for inclusion in the list of threatened species under the EPBC Act and make recommendations to the Australian Government Minister for the Environment and Water.
Responses must be submitted by COB, 25 August 2025.
