About the consultation

You are invited to provide your feedback on draft listing assessments and conservation advices regarding:

  • the eligibility of the following species for inclusion on the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) list of threatened species; and

  • the necessary conservation actions for the species.

We welcome responses from all interested individuals or groups.

New South Wales species

  • Acacia beadleana

  • Asterolasia rupestris subsp. recurva

  • Black grass-dart (Ocybadistes knightorum)

  • Bombay bossiaea (Bossiaea bombayensis)

  • Broken Back ironbark (Eucalyptus fracta)

  • Floyd’s grass (Alexfloydia repens)

  • Hutton’s geniostoma (Geniostoma huttonii)

  • Kemspey doubletail (Diuris disposita)

  • Lord Howe Island broom (Carmichaelia exsul)

  • Lord Howe Island wood-feeding cockroach (Panesthia lata)

  • Nocoleche goodenia (Goodenia nocoleche)

  • Phebalium bifidum

  • Senecio linearifolius var. dangarensis

  • Shorter rainforest ground beetle (Nurus brevis)

  • Small-leaved currant bush (Coprosma inopinata)

  • Veronica blakelyi

Queensland species

  • Bubbia whiteana

  • Calotis suffruticosa

  • Mount Emu mint bush (Coleus acariformis)

  • Native wampee (Bergera crenulata)

Western Australian species

  • Arrowsmith bee orchid (Diuris eburnea)

  • Isopogon buxifolius

  • Nedsia hurlberti

  • Nedsia macrosculptilis

  • Rainbow plant (Byblis gigantea)

The draft listing assessments for these 25 species were prepared by the New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australian governments under the Common Assessment Method agreement between Australia’s state, territory and Commonwealth governments. The Threatened Species Scientific Committee has reviewed these draft assessments to determine the eligibility of the species for inclusion in the list of threatened species under the EPBC Act and make recommendations to the Australian Government Minister for the Environment and Water.
