I find it incomprehensible that the Trust's not investigated the economic potential that the re-adaptive reuse of the wooden barrack buildings offer the Trust. The Trust rather than exploring this simply wants to demolish the only remaining intact military village in Australia.

The rationale to demolish Barrack Bldg No 1 and resulting loss of heritage interpretation and loss of viable revenue generation for the Trust is incomplete. The Trust views the Barrack buildings as a problem and not an opportunity. No credible evidence has been provided to show how the Building No 1 could be re-purposed in accordance with the Burra Charter and the income this could generate.
