SW WA is well located to harness wind power, particularly in winter when the prevailing westerlies provide power while the solar inputs are low.

1.Reefs of the coast provide great line fishing and crayfishing for recreational and professional fishers.
2.The coast, in particular around Cape Naturalist, is unique in terms of visual and conservation value. Although I have no personal objection to the sight of wind turbines, many people do. This may impact on the pristine appearance of this section of coast, to the detriment of tourism.

Off-shore structures provide congreating sites for fish. This feature could be improved if engineered reef structures were included in the construction of the towers.
