Sydneysiders should be using this land to commit to the renewable energy projects that the state government are pushing on the bush. This is a perfect location for renewables like wind turbines and a solar farms.
As tourists are arriving at Kingsford Smith they can see the commitment that Sydney has made to net zero. Instead of a community that is virtue signalling, turbines can generate power right on the doorstep of people that want to show their commitment to the cause. Sydneysiders will rejoice at renewables at north head because it can’t just be in someone else’s backyard, farm or ocean. The turbines on north head can be revered like the opera house. Another tourist attraction to behold. Perhaps it can be run by a foreign network operator and the profits can go to Singapore or Norway. The north head REZ! I’m sure Manly will be fine with the accompanying transmission lines. Sounds crazy doesn’t it. Why then is it ok for the rest of NSW but not for a city that uses the most resources
