Overview
The Minister for the Environment has opened nominations for the National and Commonwealth Heritage Lists.
National Heritage listing
This year, the Minister has set a heritage theme for National Heritage nominations: Places and related stories that have made a fairer, more inclusive Australia.
The minister encourages nominations that fit this theme and show outstanding heritage value to the nation.
Nominations outside the theme are still welcome and will be considered.
Places on the National Heritage List must have outstanding heritage value to the nation.
Commonwealth Heritage listing
Places on the Commonwealth Heritage List must have significant heritage value.
Anyone can nominate a place for the National or Commonwealth Heritage Lists.
