Register your interest to host public charging

The Dealership and Repairer Initiative for Vehicle Electrification Nationally (DRIVEN) program aims to support the Australian automotive sector to sell, service and repair more electric vehicles (EV)s. The program provides $60 million over 5 years to support the purchase and installation of EV chargers. The Program recognises dealerships and EV repairers play an important role in reducing Australia’s transport emissions.

The DRIVEN Charger Grants Stream makes $20 million in co-funding available for grants to install new public fast EV chargers at eligible automotive dealership and EV repairer sites across Australia.

If you are an automotive dealer or EV repairer interested in discussing hosting new public fast EV chargers at one for your business locations, the register can help connect you with EV charging providers who can talk you through how they can manage the installation, operation and maintenance for you.

Business benefits of hosting public fast EV chargers:

  • Attract more visitors – as EV ownership grows, charging locations influence where drivers stop. Put your business on the EV map as a go-to destination and be the first business EV drivers think of when they need automotive services.

  • Local engagement - EV customers typically spend 15 to 60 minutes charging. Offering amenities alongside chargers can make your business a valued part of the neighbourhood.

  • Support customers & staff - Give your staff and customers confidence to charge away from home at a trusted business location.

  • Unlock commercial opportunities - Hosting chargers can create new revenue streams through leasing or partnerships with EV charging providers.
