We invite your feedback on the content of the draft referral guidelines under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (1999) (EPBC Act) for clearing or modification of native vegetation on King Island.

The purpose of producing referral guidelines is to support proponents, project managers and consultants. When finalised, the guidelines will help them to decide whether to refer under the EPBC Act actions involving clearing or modification of native vegetation on King Island, Tasmania.

We are now seeking public input on the draft guidelines. Your feedback will help inform the finalisation of the guidance document.

Consultation extended

This public consultation has been extended until 1 July 2025.

Updated versions of the draft referral guidelines will be made available here when ready.
