On behalf of the Booderee Joint Board of Management (the Board), the Director of National Parks (DNP) is calling for feedback on the draft Booderee National Park Management Plan 2026-36.
Booderee is Aboriginal land owned by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council (WBACC) and leased to the Commonwealth. The park is jointly managed by WBACC and the DNP through the Board of Management and supported by Parks Australia.
Booderee National Park stretches across 6,379 hectares at Jervis Bay on the south coast of New South Wales. The park includes the Booderee Botanic Gardens and covers 875 hectares of marine environment. It was first established as a national park in 1992.
The Booderee National Park Management Plan 2015-2025 expired on 19 November 2025. The DNP and the Board have drafted the next management plan for Booderee that will guide park management for the next 10 years.
Following endorsement by the Board and WBACC, we now invite public comment on the draft plan to help us manage Booderee National Park.
